Experiencing extended sadness is new to me. I’m normally optimistic and easy-going. right now though, grief has wrapped its numb, dull body around me.

This collection of images are an attempt at communicating how grief feels. The photos are taken between 2015 – 2017, between Berlin, Portugal and Italy.

There is a layer between my experience and the outside world. Small details become poignant. Taking photos allows me to express these feelings without having to try and make sense of anything.
