H. O’Neil

Once smote

I never believed

Smitten could again be possible

Oh how I erred

A malignant love

Had given a sty to all eyes

A vision so blind

I saw derision

Your truth as lies

Never the salient aspects of life

My dubious, dopiness doubts

Your ferocious, fervent feelings

Tremulous, nervous, benevolent heart

Cursed by its own inanition

Portraying a diffident version of I

One of a flippant rancor

For my Romances that have past

And not of my dreams

That you dream for me

Forgive my rumination
