I Am Enough.

Some days the pink hue of my cheeks makes me want to tear my skin from my face, screaming.
.
Others,
it’s a glowing reminder that I am alive.
.
Some days the wild wave of my hair makes me wish I could be anybody,
anybody else.
.
Others,
I shake it free and let the wind blow through it as if it were leaves in a tree.
.
Some days the white glow of my legs makes me want to cover up and hide,
too sickly pale for Fashion’s standards.
.
Others,
I laugh at myself for skin merely covers bone!
.
Some days,
the shape of my toes
the curve of my stomach
the scars of my past
every nuance of my outer self
make me wish I was more.
.
More sun kissed
More elegant
More feminine
More! More! More!
.
Others,
I catch my reflection and marvel at the woman I’ve become.
.
The happiness in my smile
The kindness in my eyes
The grace in my walk.
.
Some days are hard,
Others are wonderful .
.
Everyday I am alive.
I am feeling.
I Am Enough.
